Lesson payments are required before each lesson to reserve your time slot. Each instructor reserves the right to charge a $10 cancellation fee for any lesson cancelled within 48 hours of the booking time.

How do I schedule my lesson?

Once your payment is processed, you will receive a message from your instructor with a link to your virtual lesson.

Are there scholarships or financial aid available?

 

Yes! We offer a needs-based discount on lessons as well as scholarships at various drum corps each year. Interested students should contact us or speak with their instructor to learn more.

What technology do I need for a virtual lesson? 

 

A reliable internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone are key items in ensuring a successful lesson experience. We typically use Zoom or Google Meet, depending on your instructor. Students should also plan to enter their instructor's virtual session a few minutes early.

Can I purchase a bundle of lessons at a discount? 

 

Yes, we offer bundled lesson credits at a discount. Students can save up to 15% if they purchase a 6 month membership. More details are available on our website.

Who are the instructors? 

 

The MDC instructional team consists of 10+ instructors, each with diverse performance backgrounds. Some instructors work with world class drum corps and are involved with WGI, Soundsport, and DCA. They hold degrees in music education and performance. 

What instruments or disciplines do you teach? 

 

We offer lessons on almost any instrument that can be found in a marching ensemble from tuba to triangle. Included in our curriculum is marching/dance technique to ensure a successful audition.
