Student Success Stories: Eclipse Scholarship Recipient

As a nonprofit organization, every dollar of proceeds from our lesson program is funneled directly into the MDC Scholarship Program. Because our administration and board members serve entirely on a volunteer basis, we are able to maximize our impact. This ensures that lesson revenue goes right where it belongs: supporting outstanding performers like this year's recipient.
This year, our scholarship recipient was Lennon Sherard, a returning Drum Major at Eclipse Drum and Bugle Corps—a rising Indianapolis-based youth corps recently promoted to DCI Open Class Candidate status.

About Eclipse Drum and Bugle Corps
Established in 2023, Eclipse Drum and Bugle Corps is an Indianapolis-based youth organization dedicated to bringing world-class music education and performing arts opportunities to the local community. Driven by a proud "member-first" philosophy, Eclipse creates an exceptional environment for young performers to thrive. The corps’ rapid growth earned them DCI "Open Class Candidate" status, and they are currently on a fast track to becoming a full member of DCI Open Class in the coming seasons.
