Ben Novak
Benjamin Novak is a music educator, marching arts instructor, and arranger with extensive experience teaching ensembles ranging from high school programs to collegiate marching bands. He has worked with nationally recognized ensembles including the Towson University Marching Band, Towson University Pep Band, Jersey Surf Drum and Bugle Corps, and the Broadneck High School Marching Band.
Benjamin specializes in brass instruction, visual performance, ensemble leadership, and music pedagogy. Throughout his teaching career, he has led rehearsals for ensembles of more than 200 students, developed educational technique programs, and provided individualized instruction to performers of all skill levels. His experience includes serving as Drum Major and Student Director for the Towson University Marching Band, where he helped coordinate rehearsals, student leadership, drill assignments, and musical performances.
As an arranger and composer, Benjamin has written and arranged music for marching bands, chamber ensembles, orchestras, and university athletic bands. His work has been commissioned and performed by a variety of ensembles, including performances at the International Tuba & Euphonium Festival (IETF). He is also an active performer, with experience in drum corps, wind ensembles, symphony orchestra, and athletic bands.
Benjamin is passionate about creating a positive, motivating, and professional learning environment that helps students grow both musically and personally.
