Alex Doolittle
Alex Doolittle is a dedicated musician and educator with a strong background in instrumental music education and euphonium performance. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education from the University of South Carolina, where he also obtained a Performance Certificate in Euphonium under the guidance of Dr. Ronald Davis. Currently, he is pursuing a Master’s in Music - Euphonium Performance at Columbus State University, serving as a Graduate Assistant under Dr. Alex Avila.
An experienced music educator, Alex has worked extensively with middle and high school students through student teaching and practicum experiences across South Carolina. He served as an Assistant Director at Lexington High School and worked closely with band programs at Beechwood Middle School, Blythewood High School, and several other institutions.
As a performer, he has been a member of the South Carolina Brass Band, University of South Carolina Wind Ensemble, and the UofSC Euphonium Quartet. His passion for performance also led him to the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, where he marched during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, as well as Music City Drum and Bugle Corps in 2019.
Committed to professional growth, Alex has participated in prestigious conferences and workshops, including the International Tuba Euphonium Festival, Army Band Tuba-Euphonium Workshop, and the Midwest Clinic. With a deep passion for both music education and performance, he continues to inspire and mentor young musicians while refining his own artistry.
